Klassikwelt Bodensee 21. - 24. May 2009
The second edition of the "Klassiwelt Bodensee" in the South of Germany at beautiful Lake of Constance has shown a high number of classic cars, bikes, planes and boats at the Exhibition and Show Field in Friedrichshafen. 10 big halls a huge outside area plus the Airfield of Firedrichshafen Airport (direct neighbour) as well as the port of Friedrichshafen displayed numerous classic rarities.
best-log displayed one of our own enclosed trucks and reactions were positive through all branches as our stand was frequented by lots of interesting people. Questions about our services in transportation plus additional logistical services have shown that the branch "classic cars" is in a prefessional development.
Time is over for the anonymous specialist in the the rear side of some non-representing building to restore classic cars. Today the classic car scene is a Pro-Scene. Starting at the purchase process, through restoration, maintenance and preparation up to a high level marketing and sales campaigns for a branch that becomes global and international. In consequence the need for professional transportation, handling and logistical services has become a demand. Why shall a car experience best and high skill reatoration and marketing to the best shows and owners in the world and finally have some bad accident because of a poor logistics service just to safe money and risk the ruin of the worth?
But there was also place for new technologies, especially for the electric cars of the future. E-Mobility was in the focus of all visitors and the daily demonstrations how fast these cars are, have attracted crowds of people. They could be passenger or in some cars they were allowed to drive by themselves on a special track. Thus new technology comes right in the arms of the normal man on the road.
Finally the weather has given its best input with sunny days at a beautiful Lake of Constance with one of its best panorama views in the Spring time. So the "Klassikwelt Bodensee" was a succesful show with more than 40.000 people over the weekend. Its flair and mood is extraordinary and it will be hard to find something like the "Bodensee-Experience". So lets see again next year in May.
